I bought a foam floor mat to ease the foot pressure so I can stand for extended periods of time on the hard cement floor...however Miss Maggie has decided that it is her new studio bed....
We will have to discuss this....
I suspect she will win.
Due to the need for foot surgery to correct a bad bunion (all the joys of advancing age)...I am grounded for a few weeks. Unfortunately I cannot use the stairs to my studio so my Flora Bowley class canvases will just have to be patient.
I miss them..do you think they miss me?
But there are things I can do while couch bound:
1. 2012 NME journaling each morning.
2. Working in my "NME under the influence" journal..
This month Marc Chagall, last month Louise Nevelson.
Loving this class!
3. Surf the web and discover an artist whose work I LOVE!

4. Spend some cuddle time with the menagerie.
5. Next on my list~ I think the creation of a collage of all the beautiful shoes I'd like to wear once this boot is off!
Miss Maggie on the alert!
Maggie continues on chemo therapy( 5 month mark) and is doing quite well...shedding like crazy but no new tumors! We are very happy about this.

Miss Maggie update: a full week into chemo therapy and no side effects! This is a great relief as there were visions of much clean up. Thankfully we have not had to "crate" her and she is returning to her smily goofy self.
After two surgeries in two weeks...to remove nerve sheath tumors on one leg,
Miss Maggie (otherwise known as Shmaggle) has started chemo therapy..a new adventure for both of us. Day two and thankfully no nasty side effects have surfaced. She's a bit tired but good grief! A month wearing the cone of shame..I'd be tired too.
She's not walked the village in quite some time. I'm sure her friends miss her wagging tail greeting.
My new motto above... I just keep repeating it in my head. Not much whimsy, eh? I'm sure that will be back soon.
The dog days of summer are here...too hot for much outdoor activity...gardening happens at dawn...

Stay inside and watch TV..Binx is partial to the Discovery Channel..
I'm quite happy with one of these and time in the studio painting these!

The beginnings of my travel journal for the upcoming trip to Paris and London. A bit of a construction challenge as both of the work tables from my "studio" are on the convention show floor at the moment. With three kitties who love fabric roaming around...cutting on the floor can be difficult. And my fabric scissors are missing..have you seen them? Perhaps "terror" kitty hid them..
He's been known to do that..
