After a lovely Thanksgiving holiday break I am back to work in this book. I so enjoy the availability of on line classes! Travel is expensive and of course time consuming. How great to sit in your own studio space and learn from another artist with all your materials at hand. This class is offered by Gina Armfield, lots of great techniques and tips with videos! And now I will catch up as I have fallen behind!

Fall in the garden
I am thankful for my dear husband of 34 years. How did all that time pass? I am so grateful that he is in my life.
Our two amazing children ! I am so proud of them and their accomplishments! They bring sunshine to my life each day.
I am thankful for my family!
Though we are scattered across the country and occasionally around the globe, our connection to one another is strong. And yes, as you can see, there are quite a few of us. Actually there are a few missing in this most recent family portrait! I am so thankful for their love and support. I know how lucky I am to have each and everyone of them in my life.
The progeny of this amazing pair,
no longer with us, but in our hearts forever.
As Thanksgiving is upon us, I count my many blessings. So a post a day to acknowledge that which enriches my life..not in any particular order.
I am thankful for my loyal labrador.
Miss Maggie is my best friend, at least she thinks so, please don't tell her otherwise.
She waits for me at the door, hangs on my every word, frets when she sees a suitcase and knows I am traveling without her, warms my feet on cold winter evenings, chases the deer and other "wild things" from the garden when they wander in from the woods. If I need to talk, she listens and never judges. There are hugs and licks in the morning...ok so occasionally she keeps me up at night..did I tell you she talks in her sleep! We take long walks in the village each afternoon and marvel at nature's beauty. There is no truer devotion than the relationship between a dog and her owner.
Do you think the birds mind that she drinks from the birdbath after playing fetch with a tennis ball in the yard?

While in Los Angeles visiting family, I did a little shopping...how could I not?
I scored this little beauty at the Pasadena Flea Market while wandering with my sister Judi; a sweet little bakelite Baby Brownie Camera! I've no clue if it still works but I will definitely give it a try!
My son took me on the grand tour of Little Japan and China Town where I acquired these supplies. Love them!!! Washi tape and little red envelopes, both hard to find items here in little Rhode Island.
