This is the view out my window today. Mother Nature put on quite a show for the big blizzard of the holiday season here in New England.
My garden shed is caked with snow from the intense winds....and let me tell you it is very cold inside where the bird seed is stored.
The pond is barely visible under the blown snow. The woodland creatures are quite happy that there is a heat pump keeping the water from freezing over, no one seems to mind sharing...squirrels, birds, deer..perhaps the fish and frogs are enjoying the company. In the early morning we counted 14 deer in the back woods!
And then these arrived in my mailbox! Spring will come again and there is nothing better than the arrival of seed catalogs when you are buried under the snow!!
I am quite fond of these purple and red carrots!
Under all that snow, spring is waiting, and it will burst from the ground in due time.
