Drive By Post!

Take one perfectly good red velvet cake...

break it into small pieces, yes crumble the whole thing!

 I know, it is hard, be brave!  Trust me...

Add 1/2 can of cream cheese frosting...

beat the whole mess together with a hand mixer..

Roll the resulting dough into small balls and insert a lollipop stick!

Dip in melted chocolate...toss on a few pearlized crystals..

Cake Pops!!

Once dry, arrange in a basket for your Easter dessert!

Yummy!

Artfest reduex

After months of waiting, Artfest always seems to rush in and out in the blink of an eye.  Such fun we had!  A view scenes for the action packed weekend in Port Townsend, Washington...and a huge thank you to Teesha and Tracy Moore for hosting this fabulous event each year.

My fellow travelers, sister Gina and Judi.  Oh the silliness!

First stop in town is Akamai Art Store.  Saw this beauty in the parking lot and bought loads of supplies in the store.  Just the nicest people there!

Nature Printing

Listening to bird song as the rain pours down and working on a presentation for a local school's History Day.  Did you know this "craft" was in common usage in colonial America as early as 1684?  It began as a useful tool for Botanists to record "novel" plants in  the new world.  

I love history!

I'd forgotten how much I love nature printing.  My fingers are crossed that I can acquire enough plant material before weeks end.  In a "normal" spring I would head to the woods and gather...not this year.  Spring is very late in coming.  I suspect I will be visiting my local nursery for needed materials.  Hammering flowers is next!  Such fun for a rainy day!
