Snow flurries last night...

longing for a warm sunny afternoon..

 When everything and anything goes a bit crazy?

Sure you have!

 Well that's my week...

so pardon the interruption.

 

Mateo was gracious enough to sit for this wonky portrait.

 

No More Excuses

 

Mixing it up of late with more sketching free style

rather than in a grid for each day.  

Liking it a lot!

These  pages have been prepped with absorbant ground

to give a base for watercoloring. 

One downside to this- it's tough on penwork,

because of course it too becomes more absorbant....

and a rougher surface as well

hmmm...

Much of this was drawn with graphite pencil.

har-bin-ger: one that presages or foreshadows what is to come

My friend the owl,

always seems to spend the day in contemplation near the garden shed

just before a storm,

and one is forecast to arrive tomorrow.

 

Fortunately, I have learned and the tripod is always at the ready

near the kitchen window.  I love this shot-

the cats have the same look on their faces this afternoon

soaking in the sunshine. 

I am blessed and do so look forward to his visits.

 Even knowing that wind and snow are on the way.
