Was told journaling would help with stress. Turns out - I'm not a writer. What to do with the books? Art journaling :)

So glad I discovered this! My art journaling needs more focus. Drawing and watercolour is the mix i can stick with i think. Would love to add book and DVD to my art library.

I would love to win this DVD. I need to get comfortable with art journaling and letting myself play instead of needing to be perfect. Thank you!

Just bought Ginas watercolor in digital download. So looking forward to spending sometime this holiday weekend watching it. Have decided my summer journaling will be el fresco sketching and painting with watercolor. A stretch from my usual collage style.

Art journalling is my go-to choice for stress relief. I use a lot of collage, acrylic paint and markers. I struggle with watercolors though. I can never seem to get the beautiful effects that Gina does...this dvd sure looks like it would be helpful!

I art journaled with Louis Armstrong and his song What a Wonderful World. With all the gloom and doom in the news, it's refreshing and life-affirming to remember the simple things are with us ALWAYS!

"Art journaling" to describe what I do scares me. I don't keep well with diaries...BUT...I ADORE "sketchbooking!" To me, these terms are the same. Yet, "sketchbooking" erases the excuses from my mind as my mixed media materials touch the pages.
To date, I have for 2013 almost 4 completed 8x5 inch Handbook "sketchbooks" completed. I may not make the book...but the pages inside are fat, juicy with color, full of words and designs and ideas and definitely meet the definition of "art journaling" withOUT my excuses and fears.
I'll be following your blog now, thanks to my email from Create Mixed Media.

Loving all these comments... And the blog! I like to add music to the mix and dance a little to get loosened up before diving in to the process. Then I'm totally into it... hard to pull myself away... and then I get inspired by the artists and groups on facebook for more ideas to inspire me. ~Hobby

I also came here from an email from Create Mixed Media. I have only been art journaling a few months and am still feeling a bit stymies, but also have found journaling this way far easier for me than doing a written journal. Battling depression and generalized anxiety disorder, my journaling is a great way to express moods, but also to build my self-confidence. And I don't have to create excuses because I really want to art journal! I will become a member of your blog as well. Thanks!
